Prime Ministers Museum and Library (PMML) is an autonomous institution in New Delhi dedicated to preserving, documenting, and showcasing the legacy of India’s Prime Ministers through research, archives, and public engagement.

The Client

Prime Ministers Museum and Library (PMML) is an autonomous institution functioning under the Government of India. The institution is responsible for managing archives, research facilities, exhibitions, and knowledge resources related to India’s political history and the lives and contributions of the Prime Ministers of India.

PMML manages academic, administrative, and research-oriented operations involving historians, researchers, administrators, and support staff. Efficient human resource management is essential to support institutional governance, transparency, and day-to-day operational effectiveness.

Size & Reach

Estate Area: The PMML is located on the 25.50-acre Teen Murti Estate in New Delhi.
Building Size: The museum complex comprises two blocks with a total area of over 15,600 square metres.
- Block I: The historic Teen Murti Bhawan (erstwhile residence of Jawaharlal Nehru).
- Block II: A newly constructed building dedicated to succeeding Prime Ministers.
Galleries: The museum features 43 galleries showcasing the legacies and achievements of India’s Prime Ministers since 1947.
Library Facilities: The specialized library includes an auditorium with a capacity of 296 seats and a seminar room for 80 people.
Physical Reach: The museum can accommodate up to 4,000 visitors at a time. Since its opening in 2022, it has seen peak single-day attendance exceeding 3,200 visitors.
Digital Reach: In late 2025, the PMML launched a massive digital archive project to provide global access to its collection.
